John Whittall

Area Manager

John started his career as a forester in Gilgandra and loved living and working in western NSW where he got to witness the dark sky every night, with the profile of the Warrumbungle mountains in the background. John continued to stay in inland NSW, eventually joining the National Parks and Wildlife Service in 2006 and becoming the Area Manager, Castlereagh, which includes the Warrumbungles. As part of John's job, he sits as the chair of the Warrumbungle Dark Sky Park Committee, which oversees the continued progress of Warrumbungle Dark Sky Park.
